Leadership and Communication Skills Global (LCSG) |
|
Tung Lin Kok Yuen, Canada Society and Fa Yue Buddhist Monastery continue Leadership and Communication Skills Global (LCSG) program in North America and Europe 2024-2025, inviting speakers from diverse backgrounds to share their insights, promoting youth self-development, leadership, and communication skills. The theme this year is "Connection," fostering meaningful connection across people, values, and cultures.

Monthly Meditation |
|
TLKYCS will host the Monthly Meditation event, inviting Venerable Wai Leung to guide participants in a one-hour meditation session. This activity offers an opportunity to create moments of mindfulness and space for reflection in daily life, inspiring the mind, purifying thoughts, and cultivating an appreciation for the beauty in life. In the tranquility of meditation, participants can gain deeper insights into the profound and liberating essence of life.

Guided Study Course |
|
Starting from February 2025, TLKYCS will host the "Life Lessons from the Seven Parables of the Lotus Sutra" Guided Study Course. Venerable Wai Leung will lead the course, providing an in-depth interpretation of the Lotus Sutra. The course will focus on the most profound section of the scripture—the "Seven Parables of the Lotus Sutra." These parables were taught by the Buddha to make the truth of the Dharma more accessible, helping participants deepen their understanding of the ultimate meaning of Buddhism, awaken their wisdom, and comprehend the truths of life.

Steel Tongue Drum advanced course |
|
Starting from February 2025, TLKYCS will launch the Steel Tongue Drum: Purifying Connections advanced course in February, taught by Venerable Wai Leung. This course is specifically designed for students with a foundational understanding of the steel tongue drum. Participants will delve deeper into the instrument's serene and resonant tones, learning to perform higher-level five-tone chanting melodies and vocal recitations, further enhancing both technical skills and spiritual experience.

Madam Susan Kong has made significant contributions to Buddhist translation and Buddhist education, using wisdom and skillful means to open the path to Buddhism for countless people. In the final episode, we focus on her writings and lectures on Buddhism, particularly her involvement in the compilation of the Selected Essentials of Buddhist Sutras, as well as her later experience in Canada, where she continued to spread the Dharma. |

Introduction to Buddhism Lecture 4 |
|
On 7 December, the 4th session of "Introduction to Buddhism" co-organized by TLKYCS and Tung Lin Kok Yuen commenced. We had the honor of inviting Venerable Chi Hau delivered a talk on the "Noble Eightfold Path," using real-life examples to guide participants in understanding how to integrate the teachings of the Eightfold Path into their daily lives as a practical guide for cultivation, leading to inner peace and the enhancement of wisdom. |

|
On 14 December, the 5th session of the "Introduction to Buddhism" was held. Venerable Wai Leung, Venerable Chi Ng and Venerable Chi Hau guided practitioners in the practice of "Calmness, Relaxation, and Compassion" a method derived from the cultivation of "body, speech, and mind." This practice embodies the essence of Buddhist teachings. |

On 21 December, the 6th session of the "Introduction to Buddhism" featured a talk by the Abbot Venerable Tsang Chit, delivered a talk on the topic of "Buddhist Etiquette," explaining Buddhist rituals and practices to help practitioners gain a deeper understanding of monastic life. |

|
On 28 December, the 7th session of the "Introduction to Buddhism" featured a talk by Venerable Wai Leung, delivered a talk on the topic of "The 84,000 Methods of Self-Cultivation in the Buddhism", enabled practitioners to practice Buddhism at home, integrating Buddhist teachings into their daily lives. |
