Monthly Meditation |
|
Next Session: 19 April
10:00 AM – 11:00 AM
Location: Tung Lin Kok Yuen, Canada Society
Led by Venerable Wai Leung, our monthly meditation invites you to pause, sit, and return to the simplicity of the present moment.
There is no goal to achieve. No struggle to resolve. Only the gentle act of sitting with yourself—breathing, noticing, allowing. When the mind quiets, the world becomes clearer.
This session welcomes both newcomers and seasoned practitioners. Come as you are, and rest in the stillness that is already within you.

Spring Gardening Program——Sowing Seeds in Your Mind 2025 |
|
In our Sowing Seeds in Your Mind gardening series, participants are guided by agricultural professionals to engage with nature through sustainable and mindful cultivation. The program also integrates ecological awareness with Buddhist precepts, nurturing a sense of care, interconnection, and gratitude.
Through hands-on learning and observation of the natural cycles, we uncover the teachings of interdependence and impermanence — not only in the garden, but in life. |

Heart Sutra: "Let No Dust Settle on the Mind" |
|
In a recent talk from the Be-Well Lecture Series, Abbot Venerable Tsang Chit shared reflections on the Heart Sutra, with the theme: “Let No Dust Settle on the Mind.”
“Emptiness is not about tracing causes,” Abbot said. “When we get caught in trying to explain or justify everything, we create more suffering. Instead, be mindful of the cause we are planting right now—don’t go astray.”
Abbot encouraged us to let go of past blame and focus on gratitude. “Appreciate what others are doing in this moment,” he said. “That’s where dignity and kindness begin.” True emptiness is not detachment—it is the quiet joy of mutual support and appreciation.

On 15 March, Venerable Wai Leung led a meditation session based on the Four Noble Truths. Through sitting, walking, and tea meditation, participants reflected on the nature of suffering, its causes, and the path toward liberation.
Drawing inspiration from Su Dongpo’s line, “Eight winds cannot move me,” the class explored the art of staying centered amidst the changing winds of life.
📅 Next Meditation Session:🗓 19 April, 10:00 AM
Venerable Wai Leung will continue to guide us in meditation practice. |
