Monthly Meditation – Moments of Stillness |
|
Next Session: 20 September
10:00 AM
Location: Tung Lin Kok Yuen, Canada Society
Our monthly meditation invites you to pause, sit, and return to the simplicity of the present moment.
There is no goal to achieve. No struggle to resolve. Only the gentle act of sitting with yourself—breathing, noticing, allowing. When the mind quiets, the world becomes clearer.
This session welcomes both newcomers and seasoned practitioners. Come as you are, and rest in the stillness that is already within you. |

Ullambana Offerings Assembly |
|
From August 23 to 29, the Society respectfully held the Ullambana Offerings Assembly, inviting venerable Dharma masters to compassionately lead the assembly in the solemn recitation the Buddha’s Teaching on the Ullambana Sutra.
With utmost reverence, offerings of the Ullambana basin were made, the ritual of Liberating the Flaming Mouths (Yankou) was performed. The assemblies recite the Repentance of Compassionate Samadhi Water.
With deep sincerity, the assembly paid homage to the Buddha-s and Bodhisattva-s, vowing to turn away from past misdeeds and cultivate wholesome conduct—praying for the relieve of calamities, longevity, and the increase of blessings and wisdom. The collective merit generated was dedicated universally to all beings. May living parents enjoy boundless blessings; may ancestors of seven past generations and all related sentient beings be liberated from suffering and transcend the Three Evil Realms. As the ceremony reached perfect completion, we rejoice in the support and merits of all participants.
