This episode highlights Professor Lee Chack-fan, who combined engineering and Buddhist wisdom to pioneer Buddhist education in Hong Kong. After returning from Canada, he helped establish HKU Centre of Buddhist Studies and launched the world’s first Buddhist Studies master’s program. He expanded Buddhist education globally—from Canada to Thailand—and used digital platforms to share Buddhist wisdom worldwide.

Starting January 1, 2025, the temple will be closed on Mondays, New Year’s Day (Jan 1), and Christmas Day (Dec 25), except on the 1st and 15th of each lunar month and during Dharma events.

The Chung Yeung Dharma Assembly was successfully held from October 24 to 26. On the first day of the Chung Yeung Dharma Assembly, Abbot Venerable Tsangchit offered the following teaching:For three consecutive days, the Sangha will lead the assembly in prostrating and reciting the three volumes of "The Buddha Teachings on Gratitude and Repentance" as well as The Three Sessions Contemplative Services, encouraging everyone be diligent and engaged.

Over the next three days, everyone is encouraged to bring forth sincerity, inviting family and friends to join joyfully, so that all may share in the Dharma’s benefits and experience joy through the teachings. Compassion and wisdom both require happiness as nourishment — without happiness, how can compassion and wisdom deepen? Through the Dharma and the assembly, we increase both merit and wisdom.

Buddhist Spiritual Care Volunteer
Buddhist spiritual care is an emerging practice in which Dharma is brought into healthcare, long-term care, and university settings.

At TLKYCS, we integrate Buddhist principles with professionalism—bringing compassion, clarity, and support to those experiencing hardship.

Those who offer Dāna (generous donation) are fulfilled with blessing. Those who support are of immeasurable merits.
