Tung Lin Kok Yuen, Canada Society and Fa Yue Buddhist Monastery continue Leadership and Communication Skills Global (LCSG) program in North America and Europe 2025-2026, inviting speakers from diverse backgrounds to share their insights, promoting youth self-development, leadership, and communication skills.
This academic year, our theme is “Shifting Perspective”, inspiring Buddhist youth to transform how they see themselves, others, and the world.

The vastness and depth of Buddhist teachings make it challenging for beginners to understand and find suitable practices. To support everyone to learn the fundamental knowledge and practices of Buddhism. We welcome individuals interested in connecting with the Triple Gems and studying Buddhism to register.
Date: November 7, 2025, to December 26, 2025 upload every Friday for a total of 8 sessions.
Target Audience: Individuals interested in Buddhism.
Language: Cantonese subtitle and Mandarin and English voice over option.

To promote professional training in spiritual care and psychospiritual therapy, the Society establishes a scholarship for Buddhist clergies currently enrolled in accredited courses by Canadian Association for Spiritual Care (CASC/ACSS) or other courses approved by TLKYCS.

Our annual Dharma calendar is available for reference. Please check individual event listings for specific times and details.
Starting January 1, 2025, the temple will be closed on Mondays, New Year’s Day (Jan 1), and Christmas Day (Dec 25), except on the 1st and 15th of each lunar month and during Dharma events.

This Dharma introduction series features Ven. Tsang Chit, Ven. Gwoh Yu, Ven. Chi Ng, and Ven. Chi Hua, offering clear guidance on basic Buddhist practice, temple etiquette, mindful living, and the virtues of lay practitioners.
It helps beginners build a solid foundation, apply the Dharma in daily life, and cultivate mindfulness and virtue.

The “Tai Po Fire” is quickly becoming known as a preventable tragedy. On 26 November, a massive blaze tore through multiple towers of Wang Fuk Court in Tai Po, leaving 94 confirmed dead and hundreds still missing. Three people tied to the estate’s renovation have been arrested for suspected manslaughter, and a Hong Kong firefighter was among those who lost their lives battling the Category Five blaze. |
