"Pure Lotus Lamp" workshop
"Pure Lotus Lamp" workshop

TLKYCS will host the "Pure Lotus Lamp" workshop in July. We respectfully invite Venerable Chi Bun to lead us in using velvet strips to create exquisite lotus lanterns. The lotus, which grows in the mud and blooms above the water, symbolizes the transition from afflictions to purity, embodying the concept of remaining untainted despite growing in a muddy environment. Through this course, participants can understand the pure and unblemished nature of life, finding serenity and bright happiness in tranquility.

The Great Assembly to Benefit All Beings
The Great Assembly to Benefit All Beings

The Great Assembly to Benefit All Beings in celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Society concluded successfully on June 9th. The seven-day Dharma assembly was led by the Abbot, along with Venerables and the public. Each morning, they performed rituals to resolve grievances and recited the Twelve Great Vows, while in the afternoons, they conducted the Yogacara offering (Yankou) ceremony in either the Dinghu Mountain or Baohua Mountain tradition.

On the morning of June 9th, the Abbot Venerable Tsang Chit presided over the Three Treasures Offering Ceremony. Over a hundred devotees, community members, and guests, along with auspicious lions, dragons, and a procession of faithful followers, participated in the grand offering ceremony led by Venerable Hin Hung. Following this, a celebration for the 30th anniversary was held at noon, wishing for the continued flourishing of Buddhism and the turning of the Dharma wheel. Guests, devotees, and volunteers from both local and overseas contributed to the success of this grand event.
