The Abbot

The Buddha taught purifying the mind and keeping away from desire, anger, fear, and ignorance. He emphasized the importance of non-desire, non-anger, non-fear, and non-ignorance for a happy and pure life. By understanding their harmful consequences, we cultivate a skillful and moral life.

Brief Explanation of the Scriptures
The Sutra on the Buddha's Bequeathed Teachings
The Sutra on the Buddha's Bequeathed Teachings

Clothing of moral shame is the most valuable among all adornments.
Explanation:
"Moral shame" is the inward reflection of one's own wrongdoings, not committing them oneself
"Moral dread" means not teaching others to commit wrongdoings.
Ref.: Abhidharma-kośa-bhāṣya/śāstra Vol. 4, The Mahayana Mahaparinirvana Sutra, Vol. 19

Without moral shame and moral dread, we may persist in wrongdoing without remorse. Just as mismatched or inappropriate clothing signifies a lack of personal dignity, moral shame and moral dread are crucial in maintaining one's integrity.

However, his passion for creativity and visual awareness have continuously supported him.
