The "Sigālovāda Sutta" stresses the importance of learning technical skills of livelihood, then seeking material wealth for self-sufficiency. The Ten Great Vows of Bodhisattva Samantabhadra
The Ten Great Vows of Bodhisattva Samantabhadra

*Cultivating the Spirit of Giving through Three Forms of Offerings*
Dharma: Developing an understanding of the teachings through right understanding and right view.
Wealth: Giving physical and tangible possessions with purity and equilaninity.
Fearlessness: Bringing joy and comfort in others through verbal or bodily expressions.

Our act of offering should extend beyond just Buddhas and Bodhisattvas; it should encompass all sentient beings in the ten directions as objects worthy of our generosity.
Through the process of cultivating generosity, one can eliminate their own greed and attachment. Generosity can begin with a smile or a word of praise, bringing joy to others in spirit. It can then further progress to material offerings, and dedicate the merit of all offerings for the benefit of all sentient beings.
