佛教中將寺院入口稱為「三門」，即空門、無相門、無作門，象徵通往解脫的三種修行法門。本苑的山門設於主軸之起點，是信眾入寺的第一處關口，標示修行起點與內在調整的開始。

山門前設有左右對稱的弧形階梯，引導通往二樓大殿。階梯中央設有銅鑄香爐，供人拈香祈願，安頓身心。許多初次來訪者，在此常升起一念：「欲覩佛容，更上層樓。」

這道山門既為建築入口，亦象徵修行起點。從此處跨入，即從日常事務轉入修行空間，提醒行者以恭敬之心步入佛法修學之路。

In Buddhist tradition, a temple’s entrance is called the “Three Gates”，Emptiness, Formlessness, and Non Action symbolizing three pathways to liberation. At the Society,  , the Mountain Gate marks the starting point of the temple’s central axis, serving as the first threshold for visitors and signaling the beginning of spiritual practice and inner reflection.

Flanking the gate are symmetrical curved stairways, guiding visitors to the second-floor Grand Buddha Hall. At the center stands a bronze incense burner, inviting offerings of incense to calm the mind and heart. For many first-time visitors, a thought arises here: “To behold the Buddha’s grace, ascend to higher realms.”

This Mountain Gate is more than an architectural entrance; it represents the beginning of the path. Stepping through, you transition from daily concerns into a sacred space, reminded to enter the path of Buddhist practice with reverence.
