此處供奉彌勒菩薩，形象取自五代後梁時期的布袋和尚，袒胸露腹，笑容慈和，象徵包容與歡喜。佛教信仰中，布袋和尚被視為彌勒的化現，此形像廣見於漢傳佛寺。

彌勒是「當來下生佛」，現今住於兜率天內院，修行說法，待因緣成熟，將降生此世度化眾生。經典指出，彌勒將為賢劫千佛中的第五尊佛。他所代表的，是未來的希望與慈悲的願行，也是修行者發心與放下的起點。

佛教不只尊奉一位佛，而是肯定人人本具佛性。彌勒的信願法門提醒我們：修行可以從一念歡喜與寬容開始。

願彌勒所象徵的慈悲與歡喜，引導行者放下外緣煩惱，以恭敬心步入佛法之門；也願從此發心之處，啟動對修行的信受與實踐。

This hall enshrines the Maitreya Bodhisattva, manifested as “Monk with a Cloth Bag” from the Five Dynasties’ Later Liang period, with a bare chest, rounded belly, and a gentle, radiant smile that embodies inclusivity and joy. This beloved image is  widely adopted in temples in the Chinese traditions.

Maitreya, the “Future Buddha,” resides in the inner court of Tusita Heaven, practicing and teaching until the time comes to descend and guide beings to liberation. Scriptures foretell Maitreya as the fifth of the thousand Buddhas in the Auspicious Kalpa, symbolizing hope and compassionate resolve. His presence inspires practitioners to begin their journey with aspiration and release.

Buddhism teaches that all beings possess Buddha-nature, not limited to a single Buddha. Maitreya’s path of faith reminds us that practice can start with a moment of joy and openness.
